Great Quotes
I have always had more dread of a pen, a bottle of ink, and a sheet of paper than of a sword or pistol. - Alexandre Dumas
Dawkins and the dogs that did not bark

Richard Dawkins and the Western philosophy establishment Why is there such silence from the western philosophy establishment about Dawkins ridiculous arguments?  Philosophers know how trash Dawkins arguments in minutes but remain silent? Is this because they are  in the main followers of Kant who made just the same recommendations as Dawkins is espousing and they feel conflicted?  We have discussed this elsewhere. Richard Dawkins and the Prince of Darkness

Every Prince deserves a courtier or schlepper to scrape and bow at their every whim. We can only endorse Richard Dawkins application for the role of courtier to the Prince of Darkness. Seldom has such a well qualified candidate presented themselves for such a post. Richard Dawkins tweeted on 16 Feb 2020: ‘It’s one thing to deplore eugenics on ideological, political, moral grounds. Actually the British Royal Family has plenty of African blood from many generations. However to focus on…

[:en]Herbert Addo – vale[:]

From my good Kiwi friend Haydn Keenan –  there is nothing I can add: ‘Sad news has just come to me regarding the sudden death of Herbert Addo.  Anyone at Holmewood in the early sixties will remember him.  He was a most naturally gifted sportsmen and generous spirit, who’s smile and personality attracted people to him.  Everyone wanted to be his friend.  In the late fifties Hilary Dennis had been the dominant sportsman at Holmewood.  In every sport he…
