According to Statistica , during 2024 there were 100,460 Germans who left Germany to settle for good in Ukraine. These are not tourists or other visitor but those entering Ukraine apparently to settle.

On 14 November 2024 the US issued the following travel advisory.
‘Do not travel to Ukraine due to Russia’s war against Ukraine. The Department of State continues to advise U.S. citizens to not travel to frontline regions of Ukraine and areas along Ukraine’s border with Belarus due to presence of Russian and Belarusian military and security forces on the Belarusian side of the border, proximity to active ground combat, frequent shelling, missile and drone attacks on populated areas and civilian infrastructure, and limitations on the Embassy’s ability to provide assistance to U.S. citizens in those areas.’
An independent travel agency provides the following comment:
‘’Is it safe to travel to Ukraine?
Ukraine has a high risk level: 4.70 out of 5. In our opinion it is not safe to travel to Ukraine at this time. The safety index is derived from travel advisories issued by independent 9 sources.’

Who are these 100,460 Germans who took the opportunity to settle in Ukraine in a period when the US and independent travel agents were advising against entering Ukraine? Were they sheep dipped soldiers? Were they mercenaries?
If Germany is providing up to 100,000 soldiers for Ukraine this would put the war into a different light altogether. How many soldiers are coming from other EU countries if so many are coming from Germany?
