Ukraine Commentators: fundamentally misunderstanding Western war goals

There is a fundamental misunderstanding of the Ukraine war among Western commentators because there is failure to understand ‘endless war’. Over and over again, I hear dissident observers all over Europe explaining how absurd and irrational European policy is. From senior to junior commentators, this is repeated ad nauseam. They do not stop to consider that this is absurd.

A policy that is sustained cannot be ‘irrational’. It merely means that the true policy itself is misunderstood. Even the most foolish policy that is sustained must have made sense to the perpetrators at some time.

One possible observation is that some of the commentators do not want to discuss the actual possible rationales for the policy i.e. even to discuss the possible motives would imply motives of such levels of evil and deceit which they do not want to entertain.

If we look at the Ukraine war through the lens of the Western ‘endless war’ strategy, everything now will make some sense.  From the point of view of ‘endless war’ the current situation gives rise to planning for the next Russia/proxy war. If the West wants to maximize its options for the next war it might wish to leave Ukraine with the worst possible relationship with Russia. Actions that have no possible beneficial effect on the current war may be very effective in souring long-term relationships between Russian and Ukrainian populations. This may prove very useful for the Russia/proxy war v2. Extending Ukrainian bombing into Russia, killing and torturing Russian civilians, and banning Russian culture from Europe,  achieves nothing in terms of this current war but seeds the ground for the next war and makes any sort of ‘rapprochement’ more and more difficult. If Ukrainian soldiers tortured Russian civilians, which must be highly likely and given Azof brigades’ psychology almost inevitable, Russia would suppress the information as it could lead to a popular response which might be outside of official controls. If the US does not want  Russia and Germany to work together or form any kind of alliance the US must encourage Germans to take actions that despite having no military advantage, will go towards permanently souring German – Russia relations. (Note 1)

Many commentators look at the situation in Ukraine as if it were an isolated engagement that could be ended on some terms or another. It should be seen only as part of a series of wars. If some one asked the Russian generals why they do not finish the war more quickly they could answer: which war? The war with Ukraine , or with NATO , or with USA?

It would be untrue to say that the West is wishing to fight  to the last Ukrainian. It must be, strictly, a war to the last Ukrainian soldiers in order to leave the Ukrainian survivors with a deep hatred of Russia.

If ‘divide and rule’ is the predominant imperial strategy then if that were to be incorporated into ‘endless war’ then the end of every and any war should include increased bitterness and internal strife. It would appear that Russia is going out of its way to prepare a postwar story to tell the Ukrainian survivors where Russia can say that it was never their intention to massacre them.

That Western commentators find seeing through this behaviour by the US and the UK so difficult is remarkable and probably requires further investigation.

We can see that there is also the influence of the Western concept of rationality that is depreciating the ability to interpret events. This Western model forces people to seek a reason for action that follows the  If A then B, If B then C,  then If A then C.  If the US is encouraging the War in Ukraine we must be able to see the target in a logical form. There are many alternatives models for goal seeking such as creating a new environment that might be conducive to creating new opportunities.

What is going on then is not only a continuation of ‘endless war’ but enforcing a model of rational explanation that renders the behaviour and true motivation invisible to many of the Western dissidents.

NOTE 1

UK left colonial Sudan split by religion and ethnicity making future strife almost inevitable.  It is clear the US does not want a German-Russia rapprochement or any future Ukraine-Russia reconciliation. While Europe has been invited to ruin its future relationship with Russia and China, this does not apply to the US as the US is confident it will always be able to come to a negotiation with Russia and China should it wish.

I witnessed WW2 footage of Black American soldiers reporting a briefing by Gen Patton. They mentioned his instructions which involved his encouraging them to take certain actions against Germans ‘because this is war’. The actions he was recommending were war crimes. It was blatantly obvious that Patton would then blame the uncivilised ‘Negro soldiers’ for these actions if the US army were ever called to account..
